Objective
The purpose of the Scholarship Program at St. John’s College Extension Division is to provide support to students who are prepared to work hard, are consistent in their academic performance and are genuinely unable to meet the payment of their tuition at the Extension Division.
Qualifications
To be considered for Financial Aid, the student must:
- Be currently enrolled at St. John's College Extension Division
- Provide an Income Tax Statement of Emolument (TD4) or a certificate of Assessment
- Maintain at least a C+ in his / her program of study after the First Term
Scope of Scholarship
- Scholarship awards will be made each term and not each academic year.
- The Scholarship will cover 75% to 95% of the cost of tuition and fees combined. The actual coverage of each scholarship will be determined by the Selection Committee.
Compliance Guideline
Students who are awarded scholarships are expected to:
- Attend classes regularly and punctually
- Have at least a C+ average for each term
- Maintain high disciplinary standards
- Provide 10 hours of service to the Extension Division and / or the community each semester
Application Procedures
Scholarship applications are available from the office in April and at the beginning of Second and Third Terms and the applicant must meet the deadline for submission.
Selection Process
The selection process will be done by the Selection Committee. The committee will review applications one week after deadline for submission. Successful applicants will be notified in writing.
