Founded in 1887 as a boarding school for boys, St. John’s College remains the oldest Catholic high school for boys in Belize, Central America St. John’s College is one of the best schools in the country with its students consistently among the country’s top performers in the regional Caribbean Examinations Council (www.cxc.org) examinations.
All students must do a minimum of 24 hours community service before graduation.
St. John’s College is also an athletic force in Belize’s National Secondary Schools Sports Association athletic conference. We boast the country’s finest visual arts program, and we are steadily improving our performing arts program.

St. John’s College is located in Belize City, Belize – the country’s commercial capital. Belize City is centrally located making commuting easy from the country’s main cities. However, the majority of our population comes from primary schools in the Belize District.

Extension Spotlight
Extension building was renamed Stochl Hall on January 22, 2009 in honor of Fr. John Stochl SJ, who founded St. John’s College Extension in 1947.
