Philosophy and Aim

The School of Professional Studies is the second division of St. John's College that offers higher educational opportunities in Belize. Like other Jesuit institutions, we challenge our students to go beyond academic excellence, to be reflective, to be committed to the service of faith and the promotion of justice: to be "men and women for others."

Our Aim

At SPS, we aim, not just to challenge to intellect, but to affect in a positive way, all dimensions of the student. The educational experience at SJC SPS is meant to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in “practical living” and the character to lead and serve.

The School of Professional Studies offers higher education/post secondary programs and services designed specifically for adults to advance in their careers, change professions, or upgrade their knowledge and skills. SPS pledges to provide:

  • post GED program to facilitate the smooth transition to Associate Degree Programs
