Eligibility

Who is eligible for Counselling?

  • Any full-time or part time student attending St. John’s College. When a student graduates he or she may only have two additional sessions for the process of termination.
  • Faculty and Staff or family members or spouses of any St. John’s College student may be eligible if Counsellors deem it necessary for them to get involved in the interest of the student. 

Who is NOT eligible for Counseling?

  • A student who needs clinical attention and needs to be under medical care.
  • A student who needs psychiatric assistance. 
  • A student who refuses to sign the informed consent form
  • A student who has made any legal allegations against a Counsellor. (The student may be eligible for counselling by another member of the Counselling Centre staff.)
  • A student who has been taught by the assigned counselor at any point during his years at SJC.
