The Advisory Council of the Institute for Workforce & Economic Development is established to perform the functions specified below.
- To provide a link between the Institute for Workforce & Economic Development and stakeholders and policy makers in the adult learning and professional development arena, in order to contribute to the development and delivery of coherent, effective, and appropriate adult learning programs;
- To assist in forecasting market needs and setting appropriate program directions to ensure that programs remain market-driven and relevant;
- To advise on promoting the objectives of the Institute for Workforce & Economic Development within the business and academic communities;
- To assist in evaluating program quality.
