SJC CAMPUS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
The mission of the Office of Advancement is to secure private financial resources to support the long-term progress of the college and enhance excellence in education for the college's students. Through established relationships with alumni and friends, corporations, foundations and organizations, the Office of Advancement is dedicated to advancing the college as a premier teaching institution. In all its activities, the Office of Advancement is committed to upholding the standard of excellence that guides the entire college community.
We do this in a professional, caring manner that acknowledges and reflects our faith in Jesus Christ and the rich history of St. Ignatius and St. John’s College.
In support of our mission, the Office of Advancement works hard to…
• provide students a chance to succeed by increasing scholarship dollars
• enhance faculty development and research by attracting private funds and grants
• build partnerships with corporations, foundations and organizations
• expand giving opportunities through estate and planned giving services
• maintain ties with alumni and friends through special events and written communications
• recognize the commitment and loyalty of our donors

Whether you are an alumnus trying to gain a foothold in the workforce or a seasoned employee seeking some professional development, College alumni are able to access a number of different services to further their careers.
The service provided by St. John's College to students and indeed to all persons affiliated with the school is enriched through the participation by alumni/ae in various aspects of school leadership. Membership in various groups with varied interests allows graduates to give expression to their solidarity with their Alma Mater and in turn the administration of the school benefits from the skill and expertise of others in the planning and execution of its programs. In its own efforts to promote the spirit of volunteerism, the College invites in varied forms the involvement of alumni/ae in the life of the school, since, ultimately, this approach has the potential of generating benefits for all concerned.
A good cross-section of talents can be identified in the persons who are members of the Campus Development Committee, a standing group on whose counsel the school relies for direction in campus development planning.
