LEADERSHIP & GOVERNANCE

"Rooted in Jesuit tradition, guided by purpose"

Overview

The leadership of St. John’s College carries out its responsibilities grounded in our enduring Jesuit mission and Catholic identity. As a statutory corporation - St. John’s College Incorporated, established by Act No. 13 of the Laws of British Honduras in 1925, our governance is guided by the principles of mission-centered planning, strategic stewardship, and shared responsibility.

The College is composed of four divisions: three academic divisions, the High School, the Junior College, and the University, and one administrative division, the Office of the President. Administrators in each academic division are entrusted with formulating and executing plans in alignment with the College’s philosophy and objectives, with faculty playing an essential role in this collaborative process. The Office of the President serves as the Administrative Division, supporting all academic units through centralized offices , including Human Resources, College Advancement, Finance, Admissions & Records Management, Information Technology, Facilities, Ancillary Services, and Mission & Identity.

The roles and duties of our administrative officers, as well as those of the President and Board of Trustees, are defined by the College’s By-Laws and organizational policies.
