The Story
Built on the Landivar campus in 1956, Fordyce Chapel has welcomed generations of students, faculty, alumni, and friends of St. John’s College. From Mass and school assemblies to retreats, memorials, and alumni celebrations, the chapel is where our community gathers to pray, to grieve, to celebrate, and to give thanks.
Where Faith, Service, and Community Meet

Liturgies
The Campus Ministry Office gathers the student body for Mass at Fordyce Chapel, led by our Jesuit priests and animated by school choir. We celebrate feasts, national observances, and key moments in the school year here.

Student Milestones
From Student Council installations to orientation and award ceremonies, the chapel is where many students mark turning points in their SJC journey.

Community Outreach
The chapel anchors a wider network of service and outreach, retreats, faith-sharing, Ignatian evenings, and more that invite students to live the SJC mission of being men and women for and with others.
