For Belize and Others
In celebration of National Month, SJC-U students participated in the Jesuit Civic Engagement Workshop: “For Belize and Others.”
We were honored to welcome Mr. Francis “Cisco” Woods, Acting CEO of the Belize Central Prison and a proud SJC alumnus, as the guest speaker for the event. His participation added a meaningful perspective to the conversation on leadership, service, and our responsibility to contribute positively to Belizean society.
Through reflection and interactive activities, students explored what it means to be “men and women for others” and considered how their education, future careers, and everyday choices can contribute to national development, social justice, and the well-being of their communities.
The workshop served as a meaningful reminder that building a stronger Belize begins with each of us—through service, responsible leadership, and a commitment to the common good.
