For Habet, the creative process involved in this project was much more than merely applying paint to canvas; it was a deeply personal act of meditation and spiritual exploration. As he meticulously crafted each mural, he immersed himself in the stories and emotions associated with each station, allowing himself to connect with the trials and tribulations faced by Christ. This journey of creation became a form of prayer for him, a way to express his faith and reflect on the significance of the events that the Stations of the Cross represent. The result of this artistic endeavor is a stunning display of faith which, invited students, faculty, and visitors alike to pause and reflect on the meaning of the Lenten season.
